Developing Disciples for Christ
Reidsville Evangelical Methodist Church

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

I Timothy 4:12

The Heart of Josiah

1 Timothy 4:12

“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”

JOSIAH exists to guide students to a fully committed relationship with Christ.

This is done as we:

-          Surrender in Worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through

song, speech, and actions.

-          Grow through Study of the Word of God inductively and clearly, and by

training students to this level of study on their own.

-          Connect with neighbors in active and vital relationships while learning

more about who they are in the body of Christ.

-          Share through Evangelism the truth about Jesus Christ by the words

we say and the way we live.

-          Serve in Ministry by considering no task too high or too low for us for

the sake of Christ.

The heartbeat of this ministry is seen in Matthew 22:37-40:

“Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your mind. This is the first and greatest ommandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All of the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
